Cancer Cure? Maybe!

The monster shown in the graphic above looks like a creation right out of a Star Wars movie! In fact, this monster is not a monster at all! It is a real micro virus called a BacterioPhage or Phage for short. Phages have been around since the beginning of the earth and there are millions of them all over the place, including your body! Now a Company in Israel has announced that they may have found a cure for most types of Cancer using this tiny little virus! 

Who Discovered Them?

In 1915 English bacteriologist Frederick William Twort of the University of London discovered BacterioPhages. The name was given to it by Félix d'Herelle, who in 1917 independently confirmed Twort's discovery.

What are They?

A BacterioPhage, or Phage, is a type of virus that attacks bacteria. It is often found in raw sewage. Like most viruses, a Phage needs a host to survive. Lucky for humans, the Phage only likes bacteria, and doesn’t seem to harm humans at all!

What Do They Do?

Phages come in a myriad of variety just as bacteria do. Phages like particular families of bacteria and seek them out. The DNA inside the head (or ball on top) is where the Phage makes it’s choice of which bacteria it likes. The Micro BacterioPhage (Shown in the picture) seeks out the bacteria and grabs on to it with it’s tentacles. The multifaceted head on top contains the DNA of the bacteria it seeks and then uses a long needle like tube to inject it’s own DNA (nucleic acid ) into the bacteria. Soon the DNA starts to make more and more copies of the Phage and each one contain a chemical that causes the bacteria to rupture (called lysis holes) and eventually the bacteria dies. The Phages have no more hosts to destroy so they die as well! The excess is excreted out of the body without any damage or side effects!

Why Do We Care?

It seems that long ago a discovery was made that by injecting a certain strain of Phage into the human body could in fact hunt down and kill a particular bacteria and have zero effect on the body! The only problem with this type of treatment was that scientist didn’t understand DNA yet so it was a hit and miss cure for the type of bacteria they were trying to eliminate. Eventually the discovery of Penicillin (Antibiotics) stopped the Phage research because the Antibiotics had a universal cure for most types of bacteria. The United States dropped the research – and the Russians continued!

So Why Do We Still Need Phage?

After many years of using Antibiotics, the bacteria began developing an immunity to them and mutated into incurable bacterial super bugs! Not to mention that long term use of antibiotics destroys the good bacteria in humans as well! In early 2000 scientists began to re-evaluate the benefits of Phage therapy after hundreds of people were racing to overseas medical facilities in search of a cure for their Antibiotic resistant incurable infections! In many cases, with stage four Staph infections (Staphylococcus), the Phage Therapy cured over 75 percent of so called “incurable infections!”

Is Phage Therapy Available Now?

As recent as January 2019, Scientist in Israel have announced that they may have found a cure for many types of Cancer using a combination of methods. Dan Aridor, chairman of the board of Accelerated Evolution Biotechnologies Ltd. (AEBi), a company founded in 2000 in the ITEK incubator in the Kiryat Weizmann Science Park in Ness Ziona, Israel, just north of the Weizmann Institute of Science in Rehovot, Israel stated that their research has had amazing results and has caused a firestorm of doubt and criticism in the US! The company claims that they may have a cure for most types of Cancer in the next few years! The exact methods they are using is unknown, but the data released so far indicates using Phage Therapy!

How Does It Cure Cancer?

First keep in mind that I am in no way a scientist, medical researcher, healthcare professional, or anything else for that matter! I just evaluate what I see and tell the truth as I see it! I could be wrong!

The basic idea of how this works, as I understand it, is taking a sample of the Cancer DNA, then modifying a Microbacterial Phage DNA to match the Cancer DNA, Then modifying the Phage DNA with Anti-Cancer properties using peptides. The personal immunotheropathy mix is then injected back into the body. The modified BacterioPhage acts as a immunogen (adjuvant) and hunts down the Cancer as it would a bacteria, grabs the cell with it’s tentacles, then injects the modified DNA into the Cancer cell killing it as it would a bacteria.

What’s My Take On This!

Ok – Maybe it is just that simple! But I also know that many so called professionals are jumping at this little Israeli Company and making statements like “Impossible” or “Hurtful to Cancer patients giving them false hopes”. This may be true or not! I do know when someone says the word impossible, the exact opposite usually happens! I feel sorry for the small Israeli Company! It is my opinion that there is so much money involved in Cancer treatment that big Pharma Companies would rather let a patient die than try to cure them!

I’m sure that over time this will all pan out and we will see a cure for Cancer! As the Human DNA Sub-Genome Project advances – It will provide a complete and accurate sequence of the 3 billion DNA base pairs that make up the human genome and will find all of the estimated 20,000 to 25,000 human genes. All of the secrets will finally be revealed and cures for every disease, virus, and bacteria will emerge!

Hard to imaging such a monster looking virus such as this little Phage could just evolve without a supreme creator somewhere isn’t it!
