Quit Smoking - With Government Help!

By JR Minor
If You have ever wanted to quit smoking, now is the time! A Government program called “Quit-Line” is now available in most US States! Depending on where you live, the program offers “Quit Smoking Coaches”, Booklets, Nicoderm, Nicorette Gum, Patches, and other Anti-Smoking material all Free of charge!

Canada Joining In!

The Canadian Government has also partnered into the project and I have included a list of Provinces and Websites at the end of this post! These programs are designed for people who really want to stop using Tobacco products!
Quitting smoking has been one of the hardest things I have personally ever tried to do! I smoked for years and tried to quit many times, only to go back in a short time. I finally succeeded “cold turkey” but it wasn’t easy!

Nicotine Is Poison And Addictive!

Nicotine is very addictive! It is also poison! All smokers know about the Surgeon General Warning on the side of the package that says “Smoking Causes Cancer”.   Smokers totally ignore that warning!
I personally believe that if they printed a large skull and crossbones on the front and back, and printed POISON across it, smokers would laugh while sitting in a cloud of smoke thinking how cool the logo was!

What Does The Program Involve?

The program is called Quit-Line and it‘s a tobacco cessation (stopping, halting) service. Quitlines are staffed by counselors trained specifically to help smokers quit. Quitlines deliver information, advice, support, and referrals to tobacco users as well as free materials to help the process along.

How Do I Join?

To join the Quit-Line Program yo must contact the service in your State (US) or Province (Canada). There is a National Toll Free Number of 1-800-QUIT NOW. If you want to get a preview of what is available before you call, I have provided a list of services and requirements here. The list also has the Web Address of each State & Province as well!
Good Luck On Your Journey!
